Lost GLP-1 Coverage?

Lost your GLP-1 coverage?
You still have options.

Your GLP-1 coverage had an end date. What it didn't give you was an exit strategy. That's what we built YooshMD around.

Board-Certified Obesity Medicine
California & Nevada licensed
Self-pay, no insurance needed

The average Hims or Ro subscription runs $299–$399/month — indefinitely. No doctor. No plan to stop. No exit strategy. You deserve more than a refill button.

The difference

A program that's designed
to end.

Most weight loss programs need you to stay on medication forever to stay profitable. We built YooshMD around the opposite idea.

Typical online subscriptions

Built to keep you subscribed

YooshMD

  • Structured dose taper built into your care plan
  • Behavioral coaching so results last after medication
  • Transparent, self-pay pricing — no surprises

Four steps, one clear goal.

Every patient starts with a finish line in mind. Here's how we get there.

Dr. Darius Roohani, MD

Founder & Medical Director, YooshMD

Dr. Roohani is double board-certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, trained at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He founded YooshMD because he kept seeing the same problem: patients losing weight on GLP-1 medications, then regaining it all after stopping — because no one had given them a real plan.

YooshMD is built on the belief that medication is a tool, not a life sentence. Every patient leaves with a taper plan, behavioral strategies, and the support to maintain their results after the last dose.

Things patients
ask us.

Does YooshMD accept insurance?
No. YooshMD is entirely self-pay. That means no prior authorizations, no denials, and no waiting. You pay directly and we focus entirely on your care. Our pricing is transparent and available on our website before you book anything.
What GLP-1 medications do you prescribe?
We prescribe FDA-approved GLP-1 medications including semaglutide (oral and injectable) and tirzepatide, depending on what's medically appropriate for you. Oral semaglutide is often the most accessible starting point for cost-conscious patients. Medication costs vary and are separate from program fees — the calculator above gives you a realistic range.
How is this different from Hims, Ro, or Found?
Those platforms operate as indefinite subscription services — there's no plan for you to stop medication. YooshMD is a finite, physician-led program. We build your taper into the care plan from the start. You'll also see an actual board-certified obesity physician (Dr. Roohani), not a rotating NP or a chatbot.
What happens when I reach my goal weight?
We taper your medication gradually, not abruptly. You'll leave the program with behavioral strategies, a maintenance plan, and support — so the work you've done sticks. This is the part most programs skip entirely.
How long does the program take?
It depends on your starting weight, goal, and how your body responds to medication. Most patients complete the program in 6–18 months. The cost estimator above gives you a personalized timeline based on your numbers.
Do you offer any financial assistance?
We don't offer sliding-scale fees, but our pricing is significantly lower than most subscription platforms when you factor in total program length — because our program actually ends. Book a free discovery call and we'll walk you through the real numbers for your situation.
